In January of 2012, after many sleepless nights, U.S.2 YOU came to life; and by no means or use of your imagination it was easy.

First how would we get funds, and how long would I be able to continue this cause? What name should I give it ? How could I energizer people to jump into this cause? Well as comical as it may be, here are the answers to some of these questions.

The name U.S.2 YOU came about after, coming up with my own theory of names such as  Reaching a Soldier at a time,  A taste of Home during war,  oh there were many others, but with the help of my family and the Chief - the final product is what you experience today U.S. 2 You Corp.

How do I get people to jump on this adventure with me. Well, I work with the best group of people you can ever find, our company was founded on old fashion values and very family oriented. So I mentioned it to Marguerite, a MIA based flight attendant and that is all it took. She made trips to the market and put the word out there. Along came Wendy and then the rest is history. In one way or another many of our flight attendants from Miami & Ft. Lauderdale have pitched in, and need less to say it has not stop since - by all means lets not forget Molly from Boston who has made it a point on making my mission  hers  and now its hard to stop.

Management has played a great part. At the end of the year one of our regional managers said lets try this in our region and other stations took part; not only in the state of Florida, but Knoxville as well as Pittsburgh jumped on board and they were incredible with their efforts and enthusiasm;  and the rest is pretty much history.

My original commitment was a year from (January - December of 2012) and someone said why one year. I didn't have an answer to be quite frank. They also pointed out that only the service members that served during 2012 would have had experience the uniqueness of the love and goodness of all of those that had volunteers  for the past year and the ones that would embark in the future journey of the care packages from  "U.S.2YOU"  the goodness and love sent from home. So here we are one year later 2013 still seeking help, asking for donations, ideas, so now WE  are on way - to make this work during 2013 and hopefully until the last soldier comes home. The journey, is not easy. red tape, and paper work are incredible and truly difficult so I'm half paddling up creek without  a paddle  and hopefully will get to where we need to be as a group of volunteers that are eager to help and support our American  heroes.

Don't give with the in intent of being rewarded or the expectations of recognition.  But give of your self without selfishness and from the heart - the spiritual rewards are much greater than your soul has ever experienced .
